Maintenance Notes & Checklists
Shop floor checklists and notes used to live on paper โ error-prone, untrackable, and easy to lose. Now operators can complete structured checklists and add freeform notes directly within work orders in real time. Templates are built at the equipment or PM level and automatically transfer to work orders when created, so the right checklist is always in the right place.
โAdministrators define the note structure and operators interact with it as part of their normal workflow. No more manual transcription or lost paperwork.
โEvery entry is timestamped, auto-saved, and tracked in a full audit log exportable to CSV or JSON.

Modern UI: Production by Tool
The production by-tool and multi-serialize screens have been rebuilt on Odyssey's Modern UI framework, delivering a faster, cleaner, and more intuitive experience for production entry. Part of an ongoing effort to modernize Odyssey's interface across all modules.
โLess time navigating and more time producing. Improved performance and a consistent interface means less training and fewer errors.
!7.3 is the final release before Modern UI becomes the default. Legacy production screens will be removed in 7.4, so now is the time to review and prepare.

Video Support in Odyssey & SFM
YouTube links now embed directly in Odyssey, and MP4 and WebM files play natively from Shop Floor Manager and File Manager. No downloading required, no external player needed.
โSurface work instructions, safety procedures, and training exactly where they're needed. Streamed directly at the machine without downloading or leaving the floor.

โ
Auto-Completion of Routing Sequences
Whether due to scrap, a demand change, or an early stop, routing sequences can now close automatically when production falls short of the scheduled quantity. Two new configuration options handle completion based on mold/cast quantity or the prior completed operation.
โOpen sequences cause downstream operations to overstate availability, leading to overproduction and wasted material. This keeps your shop orders clean automatically.
โWhen scrap decisions are made mid-run, Odyssey reflects reality automatically without manual cleanup.

โ
Auto-Split Shop Orders for Lot Sizes
Odyssey can now automatically split a single customer order release into multiple shop orders based on your standard lot quantity, one shop order per piece, created instantly. Scrap is automatically factored in, either applied as an extra shop order or distributed across each individual order depending on your configuration.
โWhat used to require manually creating 10 separate shop orders now happens automatically when the customer order is added.
โInvestment foundries can round up to whole trees with scrap accounted for automatically. No manual calculation needed.
